The service was quick and simple, the greeters were kind and informative. The room was fairly clean and the location was great but the tub was older than me and had a huge dip. Water wouldn't drain. Also mold on the shower curtain was gross but besides that. It was a nice stay.

Shout out to RAVEN, my hubby's savior while staying at this Holiday Inn. She was so good to him when he needed some things, so sweet. The room somehow did not have a shower curtain, and evidently, water had overflowed before on the floor. Raven brought up a new shower curtain right away, and installed herself. There were many issues with the key cards. She tried so hard to fix, and when the system wouldn't cooperate, she made him several of the same so he wouldn't be locked out again. His room was very nice, with a large bathroom, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, dining table, couch, king bed, desk, 2 chairs.... we paid (I think) dearly for it, but it was nice. The hotel itself is quiet. He also enjoyed the breakfasts in the morning. The dining room was large, and clean. The landscaping and outside areas were well-kept.

I'm not going to give the hotel a lot of negatives due to appearance, they were obviously renovating. However, there are two things that should be addressed. 1. The TV remotes are rechargable, but who is responsable for charging them? If I had not had a long USBC cable with me, the TV would not have worked. I realize this saves on batteries, but they need a better system. 2. Insufficient power outlets in the rooms. My wife and I were there to do the Mammoth March at Pocohontas SP. We are an older couple, so we had 2 CPAP's 2 phones, 2 GPS watches and 2 power bricks. We will likey stay here next year as well, but I'll bring a power strip with me.

Whitney the front desk clerk was very engaging and super helpful during my stay she deserves a raise

Camille was Very pleasant and helpful and always had a smile in her face when greeting me. The room was also very clean and neat.

I did not have an issue checking in. The location was ideal for where I needed to be for the holidays. Parking lot was well lit and generally clean. The room was recently renovated and had a spacious and thoughtful design. The only real issues I had were regarding the shower and cleaning products used in the room. The shower temperature did not get above lukewarm both in the morning and evening showers that I took. I spoke to the front desk about it in the evening and they stated that they didn't have any issues with their hot water but when I took a shower in the morning I had the same issue. I tested the water in the sink and that got scalding hot so I informed the front desk at checkout that it seems their showers were installed with a regulator on temperature that did not allow the shower temperature to get above lukewarm which is definitely NOT ideal. To their credit the front desk receptionist at checkout gave me points towards a future stay because I booked with an outside service they couldn't provide a discount or partial refund on the room so I appreciate them listening and acknowledging the issue and attempting to rectify it. The cleaning solutions they used in the rooms had a very strong smell and I wonder if they spray their rooms with a perfume or cologne or something. I have a very sensitive sense of smell and to me it seemed overpowering to others it may not have. I would also say that it may be good for them to offer a easier way to connect streaming devices to their televisions as their cable options were fuzzy at best and not that diverse in offerings.

Best place to stay for river city sports! Staff is wonderful. They let us take over the lobby for thanksgiving and we're very kind. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Second time staying here and we'll be booking again as we come every year for Thanksgiving.

We got moved to 3 different rooms for a 2 night stay.... No bueno
